Selva Vins is the personal project of Carlos Rodríguez, a winegrower with more than 20 years of experience. After working in many vineyards in Mallorca, in some wineries and in different projects related to the world of wine, in 2015 he opened his small winery in Selva, a town located at the foot of the mountains in the north of the island, the Serra de Tramuntana, declared a World Heritage Site.
Selva Vins was the first winery in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands to bring natural and minimal intervention wines to the market with native varieties, such as the first ancestral (pet-nat), the first clarete, the first orange wine, the use of chestnut barrels or single varietals of native grapes with spontaneous fermentation, among other innovative elaborations at that time in their homeland.
The pioneering winery in Mallorca and the Balearic Islands in natural and minimal intervention wine that paved the way for others to follow.
All the work is handmade and Carlos personally carries out the entire process and tasks with the help of his wife, Bárbara, and his daughter, Hada.
In 2021, after completing her winemaking studies and having always helped Carlos and Bárbara in the winery tasks, their daughter, Hada Furthmann, also begins to make her own wines at the familiar cellar, becoming the youngest winemaker in Mallorca and Balearic Islands.
